On the back of Enslaved's mind boggling performance of their debut album, “Vikingligr Veldi” at Beyond the Gates this year, we couldn’t be more pleased when the opportunity of having them return for a run through of the seminal extreme metal classic, “FROST”, surfaced.
Enslaved is such an integral part of Norwegian metal culture, and the Bergen scene in particular, so it just makes a hell of a lot of sense to make this somewhat of a tradition.
If their rendition of “FROST” will be anything close to this year’s jaw dropping performance, honestly one of the most moving shows in the history of Beyond the Gates, we’ll be more than pleased. I’m sure both our audience and the critics that were floored by the show will agree with that sentiment.
We know Enslaved have something really special in store for this unique event, so prepare your self for a grand meeting with the elders, Loke, Wotan and Fenris.
