I review, breakdown and explain The Madness Netflix. I discuss the 2024 TV series which stars Colman Domingo as he was framed for a murder of Mark Simon that he didn’t commit. I react to Julia Jayne’s death, Rodney Kraitz being the person behind the killer and answer what happened to Franco Quinones. I also give my theories and predictions on season 2.

What did you think of The Madness? I think there were some really strong elements within the show but it just ended up losing itself a little bit the longer it went on! Let me know your thoughts in the comments

The show dragged on but I think the ending was to be as realistic as possible.

I think the series was more about mental health than corruption. The point I think the series was trying to make was that corruption, immorality, unethical behavior, irrationality, and uncertainty is everywhere. However, there is also common good, rationality, justice, and truth. A consequence of focusing on the negative aforementioned experiences inevitably causes a person to go Mad. Focusing on the positive experiences in life helps a person stay sane, even after experiencing traumatic events. I think Muncie is a hyperbolic representation of the average person in modern society. His experiences show how difficult it can be staying sane and rational when experiencing the negative side of what life has to offer. It also shows the affects that trauma has on individuals and subsequent generations, as we witness the cycle of negative behaviors with Muncie's father, Muncie, and his son. Muncie is able to lean in on positive experiences in order to finally break the negative cycle.

Appreciate your review. I went into this expecting a tense thriller like The Fugitive, so it went off in directions that I was not expecting.

It was good to a point. Then it got progressively absurd.

Really good paranoid slow burn political thriller. References to the Move organization and use of CNN gave a sense of historical grounding. The inclusion of the menace of extremist groups and navigating black societal perception reminded me of the layered commentary in The Wire.

I enjoyed the show. It was a relatively quick watch. There were a few spots where the plot didn’t connect all the way. The MOVE organization reference was a nice touch, since this show is based in Philly. The Puerto Rican FBI guy was a solid character. I’m cool with this being left as a limited series.

i didn’t expect to see this many people dislike the show. i think the show was confusing and did mention many things they didn’t sometimes but besides that i think the show really picked up after the dinner scene in the 3rd. respect all the opinions tho🤝

I feel like the story was okay just too many important characters died it’s just annoying how a writer kills off a lot of characters for no reason

Loved the show. But why on earth would the FBI guy kill himself without a fight?

It was descent till the end....The whole thing with his son was a stupid plot, as if the son didn't see everything that happened to all of a sudden just blame his dad. That was weak.

I was waiting for a major plot twist. I thought Muncie snapped and slowly the realization would come into play that he did kill Mark. I even considered that Kwesi was a figment of his imagination, that probably would’ve been a much better plot. The show absolutely dragged around episode 3/4. Its just ehhhh….4/10 for me

It was a good show. I think that method man could have played the lead.

Show is highly mid. Just doesnt make sense how munchie just walking casually in the public confidently while police is looking for him and a trained killer. Then he doesnt even attempt to protect his family lol

I think the show is more about mental health than corruption.

Watched The Madness, nggh used about 8 times, give or take, in the series. Each time I was disturbed and disappointed with the writers and actors. Unnecessary and still inserted. Why? They have a reason.

I would have just told bro look clear my name and give me a bag, so i can leave the country cause i wouldnt want to live somewhere where im getting framed and everybody know it but getting bag to be quiet. Let me get that chance to cause one person cant destroy a system with many puppets hiding in the dark. It not worth it, when you have a family that can get targeted at any time. Chess not checkers, can always play on if the king is still alive

reviewing this show but not talking about race is beyond me. the reason he was framed & not listened to is OBVIOUS
