Hi everyone and welcome back to the channel. On this one, i reveal to you guys the newest addition to the woodyard. So here it is, the MDL Powerup 37t hydraulic log splitter from MDL Powerup, this splitter is the same as the RuggedMade splitter in America and they are rebranded for the company in the UK.
You will see in the video i have a range of emotions for this splitter and im not entirely convinced i have made the correct decision in buying this splitter. I will let some time pass and have some hands on experience with this splitter and see if it fits my pace and speed.

Thank you for watching

Hey Nick great to see you again, you’ll do what you have to do to make that machine what you need. Thanks for the video, take care

Hi Nick, it has been great watching your videos as a Jansen FS-35 owner and was really excited for you to see the arrival of the new 37 tonne MDL Log Splitter, I love the loading deck and wish the Jansen had that feature. I am sure you will grow to like it more and agree that the 6 way wedge is an issue and being non-height adjustable is a problem, I hope it gives you many years of great splitting. Good luck with the new yard and those pesky leaks and thanks for making realistic, rough & ready videos😎

Hey Nick great video. I’ve got a RuggedMade 737 too. I don’t have the 6 way wedge though 😠. Absolutely love mine, the Raven engine never fails to start. I clamped 2 C clamps onto the bottom edge of the log lift and I stack the log lift full till it starts to tip the splitter. You’ll love this machine.

That's a great looking machine. Hopefully you'll get it all sorted out. Maybe just use the 4-way for now? Crazy they missed the tolerances so bad on the 6-way. Not sure how you'd fix that other than grinding line you've done. Maybe cut the back off and spread it out a few millimeters then reweld it?

I saw some log poles at your new shop....

It looked hot and humid. That's the season we are in now for the next couple months.

Take care buddy and be well.

Wow, when I saw this video pop up, i started off with the same splitter, albeit it mine was the basic version without the log lift and the wedge is fixed to the end of the ram.

But it was your videos and great replies that gave me the confidence to buy the Jansen FS35 which I love and its done some amount of splitting, but I always fear needing spare parts .

I still own my MDL, but it doesn't really come out to play that often, i hope you overcome any teething issues with yours.

Some tinkering needed I guess? Hope you can get it set up how you want. I noticed them piles of rubble in the background at the start btw, look forward to seeing what your plans for them are.

let the splitter do the work pushing the split logs off the wedge / a short bolt will stop the wedge lifting, nice machine
