US President Donald Trump says he is in no rush to reach a deal with China, insisting that tariffs will rake in billions of dollars in profits for the United States government.

The White House issued a statement from the president saying hiking tariffs from 10 to 25 percent on $250bn worth of goods means China pays a lot more money directly into the US Treasury.

Just another tax on the US worker/tax with tariffs at 25%....thats 50+ billion worth of "tax" That 50 billion is only accurate if there is no gouging going on. Reputable captains of industry are an extinct specie in the US so gouging is a given. The wealthy will never notice the costs added. The lower down the "food chain" the more the pain is felt in every country that is affected. As always we end up paying the bills. An age of privatized profits and socialized costs at every turn of the page
