How to Erase a DVD-RW under Windows 10 (Rewritable DVD)

DVD-RW = DVD ReWritable

Optical disk with a capacity of less than 4.7 GB (around 4.3 GB is usable). Excelent for making non permanent backups, transport software from one PC to another, or testing new bootable programs or operating systems, etc.

DVD-RW discs may be written to about 10-30 times (or less!) before needing replacement.

Like many others commenting here, there is NO "erase disk" option on my laptop. I am using Win 10. However, I took someone's advice from below, and clicked on "Format". It asked me if I want to format the DVD, which will ERASE all the data on it, and I clicked "yes". There was no other option on my laptop. My DVD-RW is empty now.

You should never ever post unusable tutorials on yutube, there is no erase option for disk.

Okay, so mine is different: whenever I right click, it doesn't give me the option to erase. However, when I single click on the drive, at the top it says "Manage" it says "Eject", Finish Burning", and "Erase this disk". It is faded, and won't let me click erase the disk. That's what I need help with

It's saying I have 348 MB free of 702 MB even though there are no more songs on there anymore? This means when I try to burn the disc on Windows Media Player, it would not start burning? i don't know if you deal with these sorts of things, but would appreciate some guidance. thanks.

Brother my disc is dvd rw but after erasing the data i get what u get at last of the video but now i want to burn files in it and when i am doing that it is showing that disc might me no more usable and how shoul i add space in it

mine is dvd rw but doesnt have option to erase only eject and other options

The option doesn't come up and I click on format instead but my computer can't finnish the formating. Does that mean that the contents of the disk are burned?

Please help me... My laptop's dvd writer is working as ia know. It reades all the CDs and DVDs and as well as writes on them.
I bought a re-writable DVD and burned iso image file into that. But after burning it, I re-inserted the DVD. Unfortunately it is not detected by dvd rwiter...please give me a soluton for this...

IM using a re-writable disk, and it doesnt show. I only have 1gb free with nothing on it. Formatting doesnt do anything
