After 4 years of waiting and wishing, I finally have my very own DJ Control Starlight and I must say, having used and tolerated the inefficient Numark DJ2Go for years, this feels like heaven sent. And it's so cool to see it's fully compatible with Serato Pro and with the new Stems feature. Plus it's fully mappable. What else do you want? Great device.

I have both of these. I started with the Numark DJ2Go Touch. Great little controller but one thing had me buy the Hercules. The Numark’s headphone amplifier is very noisy. Having used both I like the Hercules much better.

The headphone amplifier isn’t whisper quiet but much better.

The Hercules has a bass filter to mix tracks. Doing this on the screen is possible but quite cumbersome. The trade off is not being able to load tracks from the unit. I wish they’d have squeezed it in there but loading tracks is less of an issue than manipulating a filter.

The light though gimmicky is actually kind of fun and functional. At default it pulses red to the first beat and blue for the rest which is nice to help you keep track. You can turn it off with a quick double button press.

Both good little controllers and very capable for the size. If the Hercules had a split headphone option since many using this won’t actually be playing through speakers and headphones and had a way to load tracks this thing would be perfect.

The Hercules Starlight is pretty great, well worth the price for a portable controller. The knobs, faders and jog wheels have a nice feel to them. Very solid for in relation to the weight of the controller, which is lightweight, maybe less than a pound. It's definitely handy to dig through music before gigs, without a large setout.

I use Serato DVS but I am obsessed with this thing! Use it all the time at home or for small gatherings/after parties.

ciao. ma vi siete accorti quando nel mix da un canale vai al centro si abbassa il notevolmente hercules il volume.. cosa molto brutta!! sapete se si puo rimediare con delle impostazioni?

I have the Hercules control mix and if you hold the shift when in loop mode you get longer loops when you press 1 to 4 buttons

On the DjGO2 you can only scratch when the track is not in play mode(paused) can you scratch on Hercules when the track is playing?

Bro how did u do that motor stop (slow to stop) toward the end. I cant get it to work, it just stops dead when i hit the ply.

Hey great introduction! I'm thinking about buying the starter kit but, it says you need 4 Gigs of Ram or more to use it. My question is, can you use it with only 3 gigs? I have an old Dell inspiron 15 from 2009 lol. Great video! Thanks!
