If BHVR just split this video up and put it into the game, it would legit be better than any of the actual tutorials.

This is a landmark video for sure - I know folks are joking about this guide not being hours long, but this length makes it so that my friends who do not have nearly as much time to learn this stuff may be more receptive to viewing it. Regardless of video length though you are one of the community's strongest pillars of virtue. Unmatched passion and dedication.

Why would I learn this when I could just DC?

It’s nice detail that for each killer, you played the corresponding survivor

It is such a true. I played Dredge another day and recived a message from 200+ hours player that he never played against killer and didn't know what to do, when screen went dark.

You could have milked this for like 20 shorts, but decided to make a comprehensive video instead. Respect!

Hello Otz, i represent the DBD Institution of Guides & Rankings
Lately we've been very concerned about your guide videos being shorter than 6 hours
Please be sure to visit our office in the near future so we can discuss the situation without resorting to violence, we've got enough hooks for you here
Yours truly: Bob from accounting

Lots of newer players (or even players with a few hundred hours lets be honest) haven't even seen some of these killers! This will help them LOADS! Learning completely through trial and error takes forever and knowing just one or two things about a killer can be the difference between a 5 second chase and a 30 second chase!

Expected Team-play: 2:02

Reality: Team letting you go from 1st hook stage to 2nd (even 3rd) while doing absolutely nothing.
(They’ve got KINDRED)

I appreciate the small detail of each killer getting their retrospective survivor during all the clips. :)

Jokes on you if you think that my random teammate that has 0 hooks, not doing anything is going to rescue the hooked person 2:31

9:32 Remember: hitting the Plague with a pallet, even if you don't get the stun (example: a survivor was flashlight saved at a pallet and you drop the pallet on her during the recovery animation), will remove her empowered ranged attack!

2:47 an annotation I would add is that the Dwight should generally not lead the killer BACK into the hook especially if the killer has some threat of instadown. This is because the killer can now defend multiple things at once. Instead, they should try to lead the killer far AWAY the hook and trust that their team will take the unhook (I'm looking at you solo q teammates).

Also love the videos Otz and we really appreciate the effort you take in making these <3

0:41 - The Complex vs Simple Killer thing is so interesting. I’m convinced BHVR is going to be going back to every killer at some point and expanding their arsenal a bit. It’s been a weird “arms race” of increasing the breadth and depth of killers abilities since around Demo, giving him an M2 dash *and* teleport. Vecna and Drac are the biggest examples though and now Freddy. I think the stale state of things can be shaken up a bit if they, say, give Trapper 3-4 types of traps and see the meta shift around who demonstrates a viable playstyle, akin to WoW or Diablo classes.

Brilliant video, but I'm shocked you didn't mention Dracula in the guide besides endgame advice as he's quite a technical killer for new players to go up against. Bat form is like Spirit's phasing ability, Wolf form is similar to Wesker's dashes but also gains a little haste bonus now and then, Hellfire is similar to Pyramid Head's ranged blast (also without your tips as well as other guides/streamers I would just 100% give up vs Spirit for example, so I'm shocked you didn't add her + Blight + Nurse as they can be quite scary for new players). Otherwise excellent video, I'll still recommend it to new folks in DBD! <3
