Just finished balancing and sharpening my first prop. Not sure if these are valid tests, but I do know they are dangerous. BE CAREFUL!

What balancer are you using?
Are you heating it with a torch?
How are you blowing it, with and Air nozzle?

peter here commenting on family accnt.. I hope you are aware that if that was severely out of balance it would fling right out of the truing stand into your face... I recently learned to send my props to a guy that balances turbochargers. . he does it in about 10 mins. . similarly to the way you do it.. his machine marks the imbalance with a laser. . and tells how much material to remove. . well worth it
