Just saw it. I am 68 white, raised in First Baptist. I LOOOVED it. Soo creative, wild, fun and moving. I studied eastern religion some and meditation and my mantra has for many years been, Beloved Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us. REALLY a wonderful film. I cried many times.

I judged this trailer harshly because I immediately thought it was blasphemous but when i saw the movie for myself, it was not at that way. I'm fact, it made me have more patience for unbelievers who struggle. As Christians we forget that coming to Christ is a journey for ALL and that's what matters in the end. What Clarence used for evil, Christ used for good in the end. Who cares what the actors look like, who cares that it's not 100% biblically accurate, and who cares that it's not the usual Christian movie with perfect characters who never curse. There's a CLEAR message in this movie that we are ALL sinners, but it is Christ who uses who HE wants to and THANK GOD we aren't judged by man who looks at the outward appearance of this movie, but the heart of the internal message which is to BELIEVE.

Just came here to warn Christians, DO NOT watch this movie. It's not how the trailer makes it seem. They're making fun of us. I hate that we paid to watch this movie, but if I can warn other Christians to avoid, it was worth it.

I wanna see it....Ppl saying its blasphemous. But if you pay attention, its some fictional things in this movie. Starting with Color of Jesus. He couldn't be a white man hiding in Africa. He was a healer and savior. And clearance wanted to impersonate him for gain. Its a must see for me....

The comments in here is crazy. The movie is called the Book of Clarence not the Book of Jesus or the Temple. It's not as deep as all the blasephomist are reading into it. You should have an open mind and a vision for what this movie is attempting to portrait!

the fact that the color of the characters match the biblical description, , , makes me sold and feel warm inside. This is a last day breakthru to pull this off and get the worlds attention... regardless of the black impersonator who looks like the true black biblical messiah. it will make young black boys subliminally feel proud of the color of their brown skin. the one they call Jesus was also BLACK skin biblically.
