You don't skip to replacing parts. You run the test(s) indicated by the manual for that code to successfully isolate what is really the problem, whether it's the senor or something else found during the test(s).

Protip 90% of the time when my engine light come on in my lexus its just the gas cap. Always check the gas cap first if the engine line comes on. Just turn the car off take gas cop off and clean off the rubber seal even a drop of oil rubbed on can help it seal better. Put it back on and hope for the best. If it dont fix oh well it was free to try.

No link to the green tool you used. Vet OTC 100? I like the way you can adjust the voltage ⚡. I would never trust myself with any of the power probes because of the possibility of frying the ECM. Found the product runs about $300 but seems much more versatile that the power probes I've seen.

Before going through any of that... I say CHECK THE BATTERY VOLTAGE FIRST, then a quick check of the alternator.
Low operating voltage can cause the computer to do weird things.

Just for info the OTC VET 100 will cost you about $200. So you should be doing this on a regular basis which I would recommend if you have anything other than a Lexus or Toyota. I only have one because many of my friends bought Dodge or Chevy and they are constantly coming to me to fix their electrical issues.
