To be honest, this could be a lot worse. It would be much worse if this was G2 playing well and they just couldn't match up to the other best teams in the world. But that isn't the case, drafting, macro, and mental have all been far below the capacities of this team, which means that if they can bounce back we know that they have what it takes to be an exceptional team.

Very shocking drafts by G2/Dylan... I cannot believe their prio on Kalista... and ever picking Ezreal... Why not give your players better matchups? Why set them up for failure? Why overcomplicate drafts and Team Compositions?

Comfort and simple team fight comps, that is literally all you need. Kalista over Tristana or Kaisa? Insanity... You have a talented rookie ADC and you're giving him Kalista or Ezreal?? Nuts. Whats next, you're giving Caps Morgana or Galio mid? Holy crap man... you're overthinking yourself into losses.

I feel like what G2 need to work on, and the West in general, is mentality and focus. While it’s super important to be happy, bring positive energy and be optimistic, I feel like our focus us is off. Look at how seriously the Asian teams take the games. Even if they’re 10/0 and playing a wildcard game they will generally remain constant and keep bringing their best game. However, it seems like we don’t take the tournaments seriously enough and lose focus.
I mean every time things go well we hold our breath waiting for things to go South. The G2 va SGB meme was not entirely a joke, I was pretty sure we would actually lose that game because of overconfidence. Instead, it was PSG. We really need to check our mental and be more serious about winning I think.
