If you enjoy these videos I would love to hear about it. We look at the best and worst cities, states, towns, and neighborhoods in the United States. Occasionally we do other countries. Most of the time focus on the negative side of locations. That is just what people want to see.
If you only want some happy positive information about a city, town, or state, I would suggest looking up local mortgage and real estate companies or maybe the locations website. They are trying to sell you something so it will be nothing but sunshine, rainbows, and a bunch of smoke up your skirt. They won't tell you about crime, poverty, or insurance you'll need because of natural disasters. I will.

In 1983, my husband moved us to Northern Arkansas from the SF Bay Area. He was 53 at the time but was looking ahead to his retirement. We put everything in a moving truck that he drove, he took one boy with him, while I had the station wagon with the other three kids. The problem with comparing home prices is that it doesn't include property tax. A 200K house in 1 state could actually cost more than a $250K house in another because of property tax.

I wish this also had property taxes factored in. It can make a big difference depending on which state you choose, especially if you are on a fixed income.

Your title is misleading. I’d recommend adding “Part One” or something to indicate it’s only half of the states and not all 50.
