Alaska is definitely S tier you’re right on that point. Both for the reasons you mentioned but also a few more: Alaska has a lot of guns per capita, like Texas. Total number is only way down because of low population. Alaska also has of natural resources. Oil, gold, precious metals, you name it. Many of those resources aren’t worked because of influence from the lower 48. And point number 3, Alaskans are fiercely independent, just as much so as Texans. I’ve lived in both places, I’d know. Alaskans also tend to be very outdoorsy and self sufficient in general and wouldn’t struggle if left on their own. Alaska is definitely S tier.

as a rhode islander, this may seem a bit biased, but i'd put our state in D rather than F. the navy base in newport would actually become a critical stronghold for naval fighting if there were to be combat. at the same time, i feel like rhode island would wanna stay out of the combat whenever possible and would want to take a more passive approach - there's actually a lot of areas i can think of that could be used as shelters and defense, especially if we loaded up our beaches (coast) with mines. our state is arguably more technically advanced than some of the larger ones in D, but then again, our size sucks. I'd put delaware in F instead
