*AMD is always an obvious choice for CPUs*
*Just look at AM4, a freaking decade of support*

I was talking about it with a friend this weekend. I don't plan on buying Intel if they can't commit to a platform for long, their two and done approach needs to be revised, this isn't Bulldozer era anymore and platform longevity is a MAJOR selling point for AMD. If you're not beating AMD by 20%, you have no business changing platforms like underwear.

Intel can't have their Core Ultra 9 285k be more expensive with it being only as powerful as the 14900k, they need to make it cheaper.

their gaming flagship will be more expensive than the 9800x3d and will use significantly more power in gaming.

AMD is still the best bang-for-the-buck choice!

Cheaper cpu, great win? Nope the Intel Mobo prices are out of control 😅

how can it be any cheaper when they're produced in the same factory?

Arrow lake seems to be what Raptor lake should’ve been vs alder lake. A solid refresh on a new node with better power efficiency. Instead, Raptor lake’s performance kind of makes arrow lake look like a bad buy. Especially if there isn’t platform longevity

Why would anyone buy Intel after the absolute debacle with 13 and 14 Gen. Intel literally denied serious problems to their partners too until it blew up in their faces, that's how little they care about the costumers. Such a big breach of trust is not easily forgotten in my eyes and they would need to absolutely kill it in every single parameter which I'm afraid they aren't. I'm just going to keep recommending X3D chips

If somebody who just built their computer because of everything being on sale at a brick and mortar store I am flabbergasted by the price of these MSRP motherboards $500 was more than I paid for my graphics card xfx 7800

Motherboard pricing is even worse than AMD AM5. That's where Intel previously had an advantage.

Imagine how Asus, MSI, & Gigabyte feel right now with their Z890 mobo that aren’t selling! How do they recoup their R&D?

the new arrow lake motherboard are 900 bucks, then you got the am5 motherboards for 250, wow

I find it weird that the i9 only has 8p cores the same amount as the i7 I feel like the perfect balance should be 12p and 12e to keep the same 24 total cores

It is a market thing. Just look at how they are actually selling, you will know why. They do it because they can, it is that simple. If it is not selling, it wouldn't be at that price point. A lot of YouTuber or elite of some specific area may think it is not worth it. But is that really match what the overall market thinks? Very unlikely. They are just a small group of people who are the loudest. Just like movie critic.

It's not a win at all. From what we just saw over the last day or two, the X3D chips are going to stay with or beat their basic counterparts. We already know 7000 series X3D is better than anything Intel is releasing. We already know that 9000 series X3D will be some degree better. I think we're going to end up with people opting for a 9950X3D and destroying Intel across the board and then the 9800X3D killing them in gaming AND value.

rit now AMD is clear choice until intel improves.

Bought a 285K & Z890 Apex. At the highest end, it's the better vs X3D in 0.1% lows. Can't spend my hard earned money on the slower platform when tuning, or high end ram, and timings are involved. May buy a 9800X3D for my GF, but will need some hard-core savings to go with a lesser chip for her 8)

Intel is more reliable and has better resale value than AMD, which is something you have to factor in when you see that Intel are more expensive than their AMD equivalent

Try running corsair ddr5 6000 mennry on x870 tomahawk with 7800x3d, boardcwill.only run at jeydec
