If your opponent in knocked down to exactly 1hp he will die to an awoken skill. Test it in training. Also if knocked to exactly 1hp counters don't work instead you die. Clutch survival super sould that keep you from dying will act weird at 1hp. You'll still live but your character will do the death animation for a little bit.
