BREAKING: Alijah Arenas reclassifying 👀

Gilbert Arenas of the Gil's Arena podcast gives the inside news that his son Alijah Arenas is reclassifying to this years' graduating high school basketball class. He was held back in grade school and now that he is a basketball player they will move him back to his correct grade. Gil graduated high school at 17 and went on to play one year of college basketball. They are thinking the same route for Alijah Arenas who is a 5-star high school basketball recruit. After playing in the McDonalds All American Game he will go to college and if he gets interest join the NBA Draft 1 year after.

Gil’s Arena every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

Being held back for educational purposes is one thing and is necessary for some kids, but intentionally being held back once they really start taking sports seriously in 6th, 7th, 8th grade just to have an advantage and get more attention playing a grade or 2 younger is a soft move.I was 14 my freshman yr and we got a few transfers who were also freshman but already 16 lol. They actually became close friends of mine’s and told me their parents got them held back, so I don’t blame the kids because it’s all the parents idea to do so.
