One of the little things I miss from the Sims 3 is the cuddle animation for couples when they sleep. Couples sharing a bed in Sims 4 feels so static, I miss them scoot over to spoon for a bit.

I miss teaching my teens how to drive a car. And POLICE, if the teens were out after like 10 or 11 they would get picked up by the police for breaking curfew and driven home.

I miss being able to carry babies to the park with me and just chilling on a bench with the baby while the kids play nearby.

I find it strange that I didn't know what mods were until Sims 4.. The previous versions were so nice that mods never even crossed my mind

I think what is lacking from the Sims 4 is an amount of soul. It has aspects like a money making mobile game, very narrowly focused on the young adult life stage. And is very pointed at like 12-16 year olds (from a marketing perspective). That soul I think was the zany silly darkness of the Sims series.

Which I think connects to the loss of the memory system and reactions which are what I miss over all from the sims 3. I think we are missing visceral reactions, like children witnessing parents fighting or seeing their parents cheat. Things that happen in real life. This is like the reputation system but deeper I think. Stuff like being fired from your job because you chose the wrong chance card or forgetting the burglar alarm and having an object you worked so hard for taken from your house. Fire being so deadly.

I want my actions to matter in the game, and the events surrounding them to matter, and it seems like they really don’t matter at all. Which maybe is a bit weary feeling during our pandemic times but I miss the cloud of fear that my sims lived under. I don’t want random deaths (random in the true sense). But it seems so hard to actually kill sims without resorting to cheats or mods. I’m not like give me a murder expansion, or add hard drugs, that is what modders are for. There’s no danger, there is no risk, and no consequences for really anything I do.

I really miss being able to buy the town and having to collect money once a sim week

Many many things, but i loved the beach! Building candidates, house boats, swimming, collecting shells, collecting in general. Proper pets. The colour wheel meant things MATCHED PROPERLY,

The family tree was awesome, just drag the avatars together and you can decide if they’re spouses, fiancée, bf/gf, siblings or off-spring

Currently playing Sims 3 with all of the packs for the first time. I did my first vacation ever and had a blast, tomb raiding was great. Wish I had known that there's not really much for children to do though, would've left kiddo at home, but she had fun meeting local kids at least. Now she's a teen learning to drive and has prom coming up soon.
Desperately hoping for at least open neighborhoods in 5, I take my Sims places so much more in 3 because everything is just THERE. Also, opportunities! They tend to get my sims out of the house as well and I didn't realize how much I missed them.

Really small thing but I totally miss how couples started to cuddle in bed during the night. Dancing with each other and not everyone seperated in their own place. Drums!!! Why the heck do we only have guitar, violin and piano? Playing the drums was so much fun! Especially jamming together was soooo cool!!!

What I miss from the sims3 is the Graveyard! I miss having a place where you can bring your tombstones so that the ghost of the deceased sim doesn't keep braking your sanitary appliances.. Thers nothing that I hate more then sim Ghosts! They are annoying, useless and I whish they didn't exist at all! Or at least they had a graveyard...

It's been a long time since I played The Sims 3, but am I right in thinking that now well you attended to your pregnant Sims wishes would have an impact on the child's first traits? That was pretty cool. Anyway, great video as always!

I miss the custom food for example if you had apples and you made pancakes they would be apple pancakes, also I miss the after school activities and field trips that would come with souvenirs and extra traits for the children/teens, being able to own multiple homes, and the graduations ! Seems like I just miss the sims generations lol

I love how when you gossip with other sims in sims3 you get a popup with real gossip :D and that gossip could be that someone is unfaithful or that someone had a child, it was really fun^^

I miss how much content the expansion packs had. I played with only two or three packs for a long time as a teen and I never got bored bc each pack had so many things to offer and so much unique gameplay. the expansion packs for the sims 4 feel so empty comapared to them. I've had most of the sims 3 packs for a while now yet I still discover new things I haven't seen yet. Meanwhile you've done everything in a sims 4 pack within a few hours and then it gets boring.

I'm sorry, but Open World and Create-a-Style or bust! If it's not in The Sims 5, I won't bother getting it. The lack of these features is why I don't play The Sims 4. It feels like such a step backwards.

I love this video so much! But can we please stop with the compromises with EA for TS5. I've seen it from a lot of simmers and I'm just frustrated that we likely won't get a better game than TS3 from them in the future. And simmers on YouTube making videos where they talk about open world being to difficult to get right and settling for open neighborhoods is just reassuring for them and quite scary for us.

I don't know any simmer in real life who will buy the next game if EA can't even manage to make an open world function. I personally won't bother too. All we are wishing for the Sims 5 is for EA to care again and not make another mess that even after 7 years and a million packs, is less deep and fun than TS2 and 3 were, with less gameplay and animations too.

I still remember what we hoped TS4 would be in 2014. A better open world with public transportation, gradual aging, different Sim heights, curved walls, water physics and the likes were the most prominent wishes. And what we are wishing for TS5 is less than what TS3 had to offer? There is a problem here in my opinion 😓
