In Sweden, you start your life at 19. In some countries you're more of a child at 19 than at 15!

As a Swedish person I moved from home when I was 18, my sister moved when she was 16. Usually in northern Sweden (I lived in a small town) with no college which you usually start at 16, so the closest school were 1 hour away but both of us choose a big city 2.5 hours away which was to long to go back and forth everyday, it’s easier to move if you live in the north. Otherwise the people living in big citys like Stockholm, Gothenburg etc probably moves out at 19 cause that’s when college end and you’ve probably gotten a job.

Due to the housing crisis, the age of people leaving their parents home is going up here in The Netherlands. Homes are ever since the 2010s getting less affordable and the government isn’t doing the right thing to fix this unfortunate problem.

Is this because of cost of living or is it because of culture.
