I think the reporter is adding fuel to the fire. If i could recall, Ronaldo didn't mention Ten Haag's name. Nor Ten Haag even mentioned Manchester United can't win the Premier League. If i could recall, the one who actually does say that was Jim Ratcliffe on his interview. And probably Ronaldo came across that. But he mentioned neither names. So this is a total misunderstanding.
