i’m waiting for a car that hovers about a foot off the road, that’s what i consider a flying car

I wonder what the suspension system is like, it has to be able to withstand a hard landing but also be able to drive on the road

Cool! I've seen that somewhere. I think they called it a plane.

Go Aeromobil, don't listen to the common people. Henry Ford also said this thing,
"If I asked people for something, they would have said faster horses."
Fuck the rest. You've vision propel it.

They need to make a model that can land like a helicopter, so you dont need a run way

And how loud is it? I'm sure my neighbors would love to hear it at 7 in the morning

Trenčín castle, Western Slovakia. The airfield is the home for a big music festival.

i imagine that it would be cumbersome to integrate this technology with the city, it seems that it requires a landing/lauching strip, and this would in consequence require a change in city infraestructure, maybe a flying car that worked like a drone would have more chance to be massively adopted

This is fantastic, but I'd really love an airship. Something that can stay afloat, to cruise the skies for a few weeks.

Okay but isn't it just an airplane in the shape of a car? I mean you have to land at airports right? Can't just set er down on the interstate. Right?

I wonder whether is it equipped with a "land-crash airbag" or not

Would u need a class A license and a pilot license to buy this car? I see car collison having waaay more fatalities when this gets released to the public

The rich can afford this. Still a lot of regulations required but I can see it happneing maybe not soon but it will.

Does the pilot have to communicate with air traffic control when they want to drive

It is actually more of a golf-cart than a car. Using tubular aircraft aluminum as the structure, similar to a Piper Cub, with an Extremely lightweight carbon-fiber space-age looking outer shell. Because of the width of the interior, it creates a lot of drag and the actual cruising speed is about 30% less than they have been advertising apparently. This requires a Pilot Certificate to operate, and has VERY Scary slow flight and stall characteristics. The ballistic parachute system will likely be used a lot because of the appeal for new and inexperienced pilot buyers, however, with at least 400 to 600 feet of altitude necessary to fully inflate the parachute, most panicked driver-pilots will pull the chute too close to the ground resulting in them becoming a scorched pancake by the time they are introduced to St Peter at the Gates! I like the idea of the flying car, and maybe this company will pull it off. The expectation of the car aspect should be reigned in, because to keep it light enough to fly, the luxury aspect disappears, and the new owner will realize they are actually driving a road-compliant rickety golf cart with lightweight carbon fiber coverings everywhere they look, and maybe that's ok. Getting to your flying destination, and then having your "car" with you to drive around and take-in the sights could be all that many require. If you think your getting a an Audi A8 with wings, you are in for a disappointment.
