"My name is chef saltbaker. I'm 43 years old. My house is in the northeast section of isle four, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the local bakery, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone."

Hearing this theme let me know he was up to something. I knew he would eventually be the boss. I didn't expect him to be the final though.

It's hard to notice unless you're specifically looking for it, but this leitmotif actually recurs in several tracks on the OST. Look out for the opening descending figure in particular.

"Caute Cave Mortem" and "The Finishing Touch" are both slow, ominous remixes of it. That also forms the basis for the first phase of "Baking the Wondertart".

"A Chef's Coda" is the same melody but in triple meter instead of quadruple meter. You can sing "I am Chef Saltbaker, I have been a naughty crook" to the melody of the first phrase. And the first and last parts of "The Key Ingredients" remix that!

Fun fact: Chef Saltbaker is a play on the word Saltshaker, which is probably obvious but i just realised that

I love how it sounds mostly innocuous but a little foreboding too, it really gives the sense that something bigger is coming
