IC Berlin rear view: In full acceleration through Lelystad - Ride Along -

When the IC Berlin (- Amsterdam v.v.) is being diverted over the Hanzelijn, it's always a spectacle seeing it fly through Lelystad Centrum at full speed. Today the inside-out look of that spectacle!

Slowed down by a bit of delay while departing Amsterdam, we got stuck behind a train on the approach to Lelystad. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to capture this, but luckily the train started speeding again right in time! One of the neat features these carriages have, is that they show the speed while accelerating, giving me the opportunity to show a bit of the accelerating from the back coach to you guys and gals!

As you can see, it's in full acceleration from 130 to 136 km/h, and clearly reached the full 140 (or 87,5 m/ph) the moment we skipped Lelystad Centrum. A pretty impressive feat!
