Hello.
I'm getting there.
Is it safe to say that markup is my sale price, and margin my profit?

Wait a minute. The Margin is on what you paid for it NOT what you sell it for. It is 100% on the $10 item you sold for $20. I'm the one with the MBA from USC.

Ok so...markup is raising the price of your (cogs) and margin is what you get to keep after subtracting revenue - cogs? Thank you sir!!!

so do you add 30% markup then do a profit margin or do you do cost and add your profit margin only

Yeah fuck the margin, I want to know what my return on my $10 investment was.... profit is $10 I.e. I’ve made 100%... that information is way more valuable. Profit/cost
