Tithing is to help the local church. The local church is there to help the community. The widows, orphans etc. who can't help themselves and to build up our community. We older saints are going to keep on tithing and keep on being blessed so that we can be a blessing.

I know of someone personally that paid tithes to a church for years. When she was down she went to that church for help and the only thing they offered her was a list of places to go get help.

Pastor Winans is wrong on this one. God didn’t tell believers to pay 10% of one’s income in the form of money in the Old or New Testament. That’s unscriptural.

If I want a tithe or give offering, it's because God leads me to, Don't force me. Actually the tithe went to the Levites because they didn't have land or possession. They were provided for by God.
And if I have to give grudgingly then God doesn't want my offering anyway.
