Nothing is above criticism...nothing. When you find something that someone says is not allowed to be criticized, then you immediately do so and you keep doing so until there is no longer a reaction from that criticism. Once you've reached that point, then you can sit down and have a truly open discussion.

Islam HAS to be constantly criticised, or it will never develop out of hateful, medieval ideology that is.

When I ask questions about, or make criticisms of, Islam on YT, what I get back 99% of the time is hate, insults and threats.

I don't know why I expected an intelligent answer when I clicked on the video..

He didn't even answer the question. She asked about 'criticism', he talked about 'insulting' or 'offending the prophet/Allah. If Muslims think criticism = hate, then we got a problem.

Intolerance to criticism clearly shows weakness of Islam.

It´s kind of how Nazis reacted in a murderous way when somebody criticised Adolf Hitler. That´s how fascism works and obviously also how Islam works.

This is a terrible answer.
Regardless how much you love someone or something. This person should not be above criticism and criticism to this person.

And he still has the title of 'Dr'. What a world we live in if everyone can get a title like that.

The words "Smart man" and "Zakir Naik" should never be used in the same sentence.

In his defence, he's clearly not sensitive over criticism of his suit.

The classic Muslim responses to criticism are:
- Denial & Lying
- Diversion
- Projection & Blaming others
- Playing the "victim" & calling the critic a "hater"
- 'Ad Hominem' attacks, bullying, bluster, abuse, threats & violence

Unbelievable. "Islam allows free speech" he says and then says "as long as there is proof and there is no maligning". So, there is no free speech at all- you are not allowed to criticise whatsoever. And the justification given is that Muslims love God and the prophet more than themselves. I'm interested about this. Was the prophet not just a mere mortal? Why does the prophet have this special veneration?

Critisicm is necessary in order to succeed, you learn from it.

I don't get how he can say muslims love Muhammed more than their own children, that's just sick, I doubt any sane Muslim truly thinks that, Mohammed was rather vile.

Personally, I think Muslims could learn from the phrase, 'turn the other cheek'

Would make life a lot easier for everyone.

7:01 you just contradicted yourself. the whole point of free speech is to protect the rights of those who have e opinions that are either unpopular, very controversial or both. what that man said was pretty much since criticizing the prophet Muhammad controversial because it might anger people we shouldn't go there.

If Muslims do not criticize other religions then others will also not criticize Islam. Muslims criticize other religions by calling them kafirs, criticizing other religion way of worship, so naturally people will also criticize Islam. So solution is Muslims should respect other religion and not criticize others faith, then others will also not criticize Islam. Fault is with Muslims. so I appeal all Muslim brothers and sisters respect others faith they will respect you, then there will be peace in the world.

How secure you must be in your own beliefs if the criticism of infidels/atheists/heathens would drive you into a murderous rage. That is the problem with Islam and the vast majority of its followers
