During them days people were required to offer their children to their lower case gods. So when Abraham takes his son up the mountain I can imagine what was going through his mind . And when God allowed his son to live I can imagine how much more Love. And faith and hope he gained with our Father in heaven. Our God is an awesome God. So Loving, promising, and faithful

GOD GAVE US THIS STORY SO THAT WE WOULD KNOW THE MESSIAH WHEN HE CAME. WE LEARN BY HEARING AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD.

31:30 Another interesting thing to note in this story is the similarities between Isaac entering the place of sacrifice with a donkey, and Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey to the place of sacrifice.

Given how similar this story is with Christ and how the father sacrifices the son… it wouldn’t surprise me if Jesus was actually sacrificed on the exact same place as Abraham was about to sacrifice Isaac. Very interesting…
