Buzzy Bees was lowkey one of the best updates of all time. People forget 1.14 and before was full of bugs, so Mojang took their time and removed all the bugs and added one new flying bug. After 1.15 the game was much more playable.

Hot Take: Variants to already existing mobs are really cool. Remixing existing ideas is one of the most underrated forms of creative expression.

one of the biggest things i missed about legacy console was exit without saving. It saved me so many times and also allowed for me to make minigames with my friends without worrying about backups and such

1.10 made it so trapdoors no longer had to be connected to blocks to exist, so I see this as a W update

3:24: 1.3, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, and 1.8 also did not have trailers. However everyone confuses these with the trailers for the beta versions. For example, almost every Minecraft trailer compilation will show the beta 1.7 and beta 1.8 trailers for release 1.7 and 1.8 respectively.

Toycat is still salty about the invisible polar bears being added.

Polar bears were added because Jeb's wife wanted to add them into the game, nevermind the fact that now you’ve added a hostile and highly dangerous mob that you cannot prevent from spawning. So good luck to anyone that ever decides that they want to build in any snowy biomes.

But you can make magma blocks with magma cream no?

1.10 is the most forgettable update but has the coolest name... I wish we would get a "Frostburn Update 2.0" to update a bunch of warm and cold biomes.

Loved seeing the old Console edition creative world gameplay in the background. So much nostalgia :')

That update added fossils, and I don't think I have ever seen an overworld fossil in survival

also I don't think you mentioned that this updated also added zombie villages

Fun fact this was the first update I saw videos talking about it but I played console edition at the time and I remember being so excited when 4J released the trailer for the beats bears and banners (I think that’s what they called it)

The 1.42 scenario is a funny thing to imagine, but what would a world where the release of 1.20 and 1.21 were reversed look like?
Would the addition of vaults allow Trails and Tales to be full structure overhaul update because of needing to add trims? Fun to think about what could have been.

My question is this: What if we had a bunch of 1.10-sized updates instead of a few 1.21-sized updates? What if, say, armadillos were a mainline update by themselves, three months after the mob vote? Would we have the same amount of content? Would we be okay with some updates being "misses" like 1.10 was? Would the content feel more scattershot and less focused? Hey, 1.61 just dropped, the American Airlines / Pizza Hut Quilted Carpet Update Sponsored by Mountain Dew Code Red.

Honestly, when the Bedrock equivalent of this update came, I quite enjoyed it. It was nice having an update just for a few more building materials. Likewise for the Builder's Update which added Andesite Stairs. [They should do a sequel to that update, I want Diorite Bricks!] As proven with the update that brought the Armadillo, not every update has to offer a thousand changes, smaller updates every once and a wile are good.

The creative world gameplay takes me back to when Toycat always had that as background gameplay
