Bon Scott. The ultimate voice of AC/DC. R.I.P. Bon and Malcolm Young.

Bon Scott stalking the stage like a feral beast made AC/DC an unstoppable force. We lost more than we can ever understand with his passing.

The mark of a great band is when they sound better live than on record.

Bon Scott was once asked jokingly whether he was the AC or DC in the band. His reply was telling in its symbolism of his role: "Naw, I'm the lightning flash in the middle." ⚡

I can't imagine this show existing now. What a gift to fans of good music.

Bon's vocals sound filthy, and sexual, pure rock n roll

Bon Scott - the greatest hard rock singer of all time. Australian rock and roll blowing anything else off the stage.

I play in an AC/DC tribute band. I have watched literally hundreds of hours of their live performances. I've never seen anything better than this. I am completely blown away..

The great thing about midnight special was no lip syncing.

We would be drinking and smoking and at midnight we would turn this on the 19” tv hooked up to stereo speakers.
Rock on.

It's amazing to me how anyone could just stand there watching AC/DC live, and not even bob their head a little. A number of people just standing there as stiff as a board. I can't even stay still while watching this sitting down.

I saw them in 1979 in San Antonio 5 months before Bon Died. A friend called me about two hours before the show, said he had a ticket for me but the seats sucked. When we got in the arena I found out we were sitting first row center section. As in this video the barricade was very close to the stage. Bon walked out with a cowboy hat on and had a big grin on his face. Angus had blood on his knees from sliding across the stage. Out of all the bands of that era I saw that show sticks with me the most.
Set list for that tour.

"Live Wire"
"Shot Down in Flames"
"Walk All Over You"
"Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be"
"Sin City"
"Problem Child"
"Bad Boy Boogie"
"The Jack"
"Highway to Hell"
"High Voltage"
"Whole Lotta Rosie"
"Rocker"
Encore

"If You Want Blood You've Got It"
"Let There Be Rock"
