Jovita Moore, longtime Atlanta WSB Channel 2 news anchor dies

Jovita Moore, a beloved news anchor at Channel 2 in Atlanta, has died seven months after being diagnosed with a rare brain cancer, according to WSB-TV on Friday. She was 53.

This hurts as an Atlanta native. Such a beautiful person who has touched many and has works to show for it. As a child, you never realize the gravity of losing family. My grandma told me, the good with the bad, and we won't know until it's upon us. Her spirit, beauty, and influence will not be lost upon my heart.

Emanating from those wondrous qualities of hers was a mark of true professionalism that most likely served as a magnet to great/good journalism. The news of her passing numbed my very soul.
