Is it possible that Bentkey filmed their Snow White and the Evil Queen, starring Brett Cooper, in Slovenia? At least partially? Let's see!

Actually according to BoundingIntoComics (X-BoundingComics) Disney's Snow White release has been pushed back from March 22, 2024 to March 21, 2025. They must be doing some serious reshooting, or should we say 'reimagining' our product to appeal to a traditional audience??

PS Slovenia looks beautiful!

I do think you're probably right - and even if shooting there was just more happenstance than anything, it's beautiful scenery so it'd be a shame to not gather some b-roll at least!

I hadn't heard of The Pendragon Cycle before, but now I'm a bit excited to see how this tv series turns out.

Why not film in Slovenia? A beautiful girl, a beautiful story deserves a beautiful location. )

I remember a lot of Hollywood period films of the early 2000s were filmed in Southern and Eastern Europe; partly because it was cheaper to do so, but also because it was much easier to find beautiful forested and mountainous filming locations that didn't have a lot of modern infrastructure, like power cables and the like. One of my all-time favorite films, Cold Mountain-- which is set in North Carolina during the American Civil War-- was actually filmed (for a large portion of it) in the Carpathians of Romania; and, man, did those mountains ever look haunting and stunning in that movie.

I hope that the DW's Snow White was filmed in your country, though! That would be exciting... and that Alpine region of the world does look so fairytale-esque.

What a hilariously absurd world we live in where the Daily Wire might end up making a better Snow White adaptation than Disney.

I believe Brett said he was in Slovenia filming another show so a lot of the shots used were pulled from that shoot. Pretty sure the shot of Brett was shot in the mountains near Nashville days before the announcement. I think they said Bentkey has 56 shows currently in production. But I would bet they plan to shot it in Slovenia as that is where he is an is likely scouting locations around his current location.

I hope your theory is correct! I love to see real locations used for film, even if its just used as a base with CG additions. It helps the scene be more believable/immersive.
Poor shooting location can ruin enjoying a story, especially if it has some basis in history. An example would be the Hatfield & McCoy miniseries. A story supposed to be set in West Virginia, USA. It was instead filmed in Romania around the Carpathian Mountains. I'm from West Virginia. The Carpathians are lovely but they are nothing like the Appalachians.

The film not only looks FAR superior to the lackluster and soulless Disney Snow White "remake", but Brett Cooper is a FAR better and more accurate choice for Snow White, whose skin was indeed white as snow. Besides that, she's a better actress and is a fan of both the source material AND the Disney classic.

Folks can say whatever they wish about Kristen Stewart, but even she spoke HIGHLY about the source material and Disney classic, when chosen to play Snow White many years prior.

Its likely they filmed their for the Pendragon Cycle, like you said. However, they have only filmed the teaser trailer for Snow White so far... I think.

I believe they took a day off set to film the Snow White teaser, and thats it. I dont think filming has begun for Snow White.

That said, Slovenia is a beautiful and im sure it will come up in the Pendragon Cycle as they will need a variety of locations.

Why shouldn't they film Snow White in Slovenia? If they hadn't already gave Brett Cooper the role, they might have done well and gave Lana Maria the role of Snow White and made an even greater use of Slovenia! Ah well, a missed opportunity, but I am sure Brett will do a very fine job.

I don't like Daily Wire but there is no way they make a worse job than Disney.

Brett Cooper in that angle looks monstrous. More like Xena White than Snow White.

Lana I have to laugh at this sentence, a quote from your video "she was definitely abroad in Europe, filming..." So what did you mean "abroad: or "a broad" (in the slang)? 🤣 I hope the linguist in you can find the humor in my question.

I don't know anything about the Daily Wire Snow White filming locations. But the southern Alps would be a wonderfully chosen location for shots for exteriors (+ Slovenia would certainly be cheaper than Austria).

Brett Cooper looks very good for the role of Snow White. Plus, she'll come across as a 'gentle troll' to liberal lunatics.
I hope both movies end up coming out around the same time so I can laugh when Disney gets K.O. in receipt - at least outside the US/Canada for sure.
