MAURON MUSY - Disruptive Design - Form follows Function

Jean-Ferdinand Porsche, a great designer, always insisted on the importance of effectively combining «form and function». While some merely speak of following this precept, Mauron Musy have put it into practice as is clearly apparent in their watch design, featuring integrated lugs serving to achieve a gasket-free water-tightness technology which is so important for Mauron Musy.
This creates a totally disruptive look that is out of step with all other contemporary watchmaking conventions. We can also see this attitude at work in the bezel which is designed differently from all others; it also plays a part in the nO-Ring® function, thereby contributing to this crazy design. This
function also makes it possible to work with other materials, such as bronze, as well as the premium gold version which is very important for us, just as it is on the watch market in general. This model features exactly the same concept as the others.
The face of the watch, is also made in a totally innovative way. Its sandwich structure composed of two superimposed metal plates of which the lower one which is carved from a solid block of metal, thus avoiding the need to add on the hour-markers, logos, etc. and thereby creating something very
solid. The other advantage is that Mauron Musy can work with an almost infinite colour palette and create shimmering reflections, as we can see on this dial. And obviously all this gives us the uniqueness that we work to maintain day after day, both for ourselves and for Mauron Musy wearers.
