The one thing everyone misses in tabs and covers is the fact that the "G" root muted note is only played at the beginning of each repeat of the opening riff, not every muted root in between the high notes. After the first 2 muted "G" notes on the low E string, it moves up to the open "D" string for the rest of the muted parts until the riff repeats. Not trying to be an ass, just making an observation.
