In Turkana County’s Kalobeyei Refugee Settlement Camp, refugees have had an upgrade to their lives thanks to Renewvia Energy. The company has put up a mini-grid in the settlement camp, taking advantage of the radiant solar heat available most period of the year. Through an elaborate process, the multi-million project generates 60 kWh from 162 solar panels. It serves more than 600 households and business entities, enabling vital services.
