Stock A90 GR SUPRA vs Stock BMW M2 drag race! Launch Control Issues :|

So we've wanted to see this race for a while, and now we've done it. But it wasn't without complications.

Both the Supra and the M2 experienced issues with Launch control, meaning our data is far from conclusive, but it still taught us a few lessons.

The process to engage LC on the Supra is easy, but alternating between doing a burnout (requiring traction control completely off), then going into Launch Control mode is a pain in the butt. Sometimes it just refuses to work, sometimes it gets stuck in burnout mode, and to be honest it's an incredibly frustrating ordeal!

We only got 4 runs for the evening due to a lot of vehicles having oil or coolant down. In those 4 runs, we only got one proper launch. Every other time it decided to test our patience.

I saw in another supra owners video that you can't use launch control for the first 1200kms, might be the problem 🤔

You can’t burn out then do launch instantly…. Takes 6 minutes

Before putting on the drag strip u should do a ecu tune for the supra and read all codes usually

I haven't seen a more boring drag race. We've gone backwards in automotive industry... That supra looks and sounds dull. Bring back the good old 2JZ
