⚙️ How to create Microsoft / SharePoint lists with integrated Approval workflows

preview_player
Показать описание
In a new list created, users can create a list item and submit it for approval by creating an approval request and specifying the approver, the request will appear in the Approvals app in Teams or can be approved directly within the list.
Once approved, the list item status is updated.
The new list templates will automatically appear on the Create list from the template screen.
This is an optional feature that users can leverage by using one of the two new list templates.

In your video, I see that you are using the existing templates to use the Approval flow. Is it not possible to do so from a blank template, or is it just too complicated?

Thanks for the video. I'm getting error message - "This action is part of an experimental feature that is not supported in the current enviroment". Are you accessing this functionality as an "early adopter" or do you have access to this through "targeted release" meaning this functionaility is not actually available to standard users yet?.

Hi, I've already used this but is there any way to archive old requests please? I've tried adding folders but they only appear in the list themselves and not on the left, also I need to allow folders through the List Settings Advanced Settings every time I need to move list items. Is there any way to avoid this and simply drag to a folder to the left under Home, please?

Hello, sir! I'm a student working on an individual project called 'Intranet for SharePoint, ' intended purely for educational purposes. I'm intrigued by your method for customizing the approval process using Power Automate, specifically for integrating with the Calendar. Could you please guide me on how to accomplish this?

Can you tell me how to get the MS travel requests with approvals template? It's not showing up on my screen.

This feature has so much potential, however, I've encountered a couple of big shortcomings.
1. The status "requested" does not update to "approved", even with a page refresh and waiting considerable time. You have to click on "requested" for this to update. There are threads with many people experiencing the same behaviour, but your video does not show this so perhaps it's an uncommon or new bug.
2. The "approved" status resets itself if you edit the List item at all. This is problematic for processes where admin staff may need to edit the list to track actions that occur after the approval.

Microsoft Update 2024

Previously, this feature was available in only two templates, but with the latest update from Microsoft, it’s now available across all templates.
