There's a difference between the way that Jackson tells a story, and the way Tolkien does it. Freeman nailed it, he'll always make it about the characters, but what I love about Tolkien is that the characters almost feel secondary, they just live in this world that Tolkien's made.

I'm glad that Martin is opening up more about his personal life a little bit, and I'm not saying that because I'm a fan and wish to know about his family, I'm saying that because, it's difficult to see an actor you like be defensive about a lot when asked certain questions. I mean a year ago, regarding his kids, he'd say, "None of your fucking business, " whereas here, he's answering like no problem, "6 and 9."
