Sammy HATES Michael it’s so obvious. To Sammy, you have to be violent and have killed someone to be a true gangster and to prove yourself worthy of being in the mob and Michael is a man who came into the life with brains and his fathers reputation and brought millions of dollars in to his family through his scams. Somny Franceze was a very respected and prominent figure in the life so if he gave the family his word and vouched for his son then that must mean something. After all Sonny, was a true monster. I get where Sammy is coming from but if being in the mafia just meant killing each other and being thugs then no money would be made and that is the main goal in the mafia, to make money.
