I disagree … the combination of study and/or specific certifications and securing entry level work in the field for 2-3 years creates skillset (which is what people hire) in that time you’d be far more advanced than any graduate college student PLUS you would not have any debt. NOW I may agree with the Networking aspects BUT NO you do NOT need to go to College to get into this Field. You need Knowledge and Skill .. IF you have those .. You’ll be just fine

Walmart, Target and a few pjaces will pay for college so if you want to do cybersecurity cool.

But I think they'll only do it for folks tgat doesn't have a degree. I'm finishing up my boot camp in the next 3 months. I'm studying sec+ 701 exam and getting hands on experience 12 weeks.

I'm switching from 20yrs in gaming industry 4yrs film.

My plan is to use the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate to brush up on basic knowledge. Then continue to study for the CompTIA Security+. I really want to be a threat analyst. What other Certifications should I try to get? I really want to end this new year in a Cybersecurity job. I am willing to study every day and basically make this my life for however long it takes to be qualified for a job. I have zero experience currently and no degree

College is definitely not worth it because of the cost. Lots of pros going to college but the cost don’t add up to the pros
