for those watching this video.. this is a restoration! A restoration is not changing the use of the piece say from a dresser to a side table.. its not painting the piece to cover up damage. A restoration is returning the piece to its original functionality, its original appearance as closely as possible. An absolutely wonderful job done here! Beautiful, high quality craftmanship!

Perfect! So glad I found your channel. This is so inspiring to watch. My dad is 98 and was trained as a cabinet maker. He apprenticed when he was 13. I grew up watching and helping him do all sorts of wood work. I am the fifth generation of wood workers in my family, although I don’t do wood work professionally. For me it is only a hobby. Thanks for sharing your work with us. Your level of workmanship is fast becoming extinct. I am glad documenting it with filming like this can keep it alive. Thanks again.

Super!!!

This restoration is a mix of old world and modern techniques and more than a little humor. A great save as well. The use of animal glue (we guess rabbit skin) sawdust and pigment (guessing again carbon black) and the final finish of wax is the old world part. Some of this craftman's tools are to enough to make any one envious. Power tools for efficiency and hand tools for fine points. Great thought went into the videography with no promotion or infomercial additions. Danke!

You should also be in a band. You have a great sense of how things sound on your filming. The scratchy sound of sand paper. The raspy sound of planning. The tap, tap of the hammer. The strange creaking of removing an old nail. The grating of the saw.
Music to our ears!!!!😊

It's very interesting to see more traditional techniques used for furniture restoration without a single epoxy or CA drop ;) The result is amazing ! Congratulations.

Love watching a master craftsman at work. What an outstanding job. Well done. I hate it when people paint over wood, bricks, etc. Thank you for bringing that back to life.

I love your style! It's like you're the dark super hero of furniture restoration. You should be wearing a mask and a cape. So well done!

Wow, bruh, the wood grain in this piece is spectacular. Covering that up with paint and letting it decay was a crime. Great job bringing it back.
