Too many young players in this situation turn into “I and ME” guys who completely forget about putting the TEAM first. They don’t even care that their negative energy can and will bring the team down, or even spread to other teammates. How you respond to adversity shows the clearest picture of who you are on the deepest of levels.

at my new school they already told me I was one of the hardest workers they have coached and I would half to miss half the season due to the transfer rule and the coachs would often tell me how next year it would be my year fast forward it wasn’t I barley played giving my heart and soul into practice I had more playing time in half a season then I did a whole season I went I week 1 and didn’t start playing untill week 10 agian and so I played JV which I significantly performed well everytime but I often came home heart broken because I felt lied to and disrespected the joy of the game was being taken away from me due to the coaching and the people who were in my place were worst than me I was a starter my freshman year and since then I haven’t started since and the thing is I know if I will quit I will regret it later in life but I know if I don’t they won’t play me they already were talking about the team best year and it didn’t involve me but it’s just idk if I can handle the heart break and watching me barley play during my senior year oh and often during the season they would give me reps with the first team and include my name in the plan during the season but never play me untill I got hurt in a JV game because they don’t really care about safety it seems in then it was it
