The N4HNH Antenna Farm

I had a request to shoot a video of my antenna farm. It isn’t fancy, but here it is.

Note: One thing not shown in the video is how I secure the ends of the dipoles. For the 160m doublet I use the rope-over-limb-tied-to-rock method for the ends and the feedpoint. For the ZS6BKW and the Fritzel FD-4, I tie the end insulators to a bungee that is hooked to a large screw that has a big eye hole in it. This screw with an eyelet is screwed into a tree. The pulley provides relief for the feedpoint as the tree moves in the wind. The bungees tied to the ends provide additional relief to the stress caused by the movement of the trees in windy conditions. This method has withstood 60-70 MPH winds.

Another great way to help my channel is to click subscribe.

Thanks for the tour of your antennas. Did you make the 160 M Doublet or is it a purchased antenna you modified with the ladder lock?

I’d *LOVE* to have an _”antenna farm”!_ Antennas are so dang *EXPENSIVE* that I’d love to grow a few to sell them … 😀
