Dr. Bin He discusses the challenge of integrating, in order to take spatial-temporal resolution even further, different kinds of signals with different kinds of physical principles. In trying to address this challenge, his group has developed a model, and a theory involving assumption of linear coupling. He introduces a series of experiments by his team performing EEG and fMRI simultaneous mapping.
This clip is part of the lecture “How to Map the Dynamics of Your Brain—From EEG to BCI,” by Bin He, Ph.D., Distinguished McKnight University Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota.
This lecture, given in September 2014 at the NIH, is part of the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) Online Continuing Education Series.
