Corrupting The Sims 2 ON PURPOSE (HOW TO DESTROY YOUR GAME)

I filmed this video differently since I was busy and didn’t have time to sit and film for a long time. It was filmed in parts so I apologize about the audio quality switch up during the voice over (not that it’s ever good lol) This explanation video is an introduction to Part 3 which I hope to have ready sometime this next 2 weeks.

Fun fact: the most corrupted sim is actually a dead delivery driver called Knut Futa. He died in Olive's garden, but doesn't have a grave. His data is that fractured that he has no age data whatsoever and so, the game treats him as a baby when spawned despite him being an adult male.

Lyla Grunt's lack of memories is normal. Since Maxis didn't intend for her to be resurrectable, they probably didn't feel the need to give her any. If you have her look in the mirror, her face distorts and becomes corrupt. You have to alter her appearance in the mirror TWICE for the corruption to appear, though.

Also there is another sim called Melissa Sims that appears as a teenage girl, but is recognised by the game as an adult male. Creon and Willow Nigmos have the same facial distortion glitch as Lyla Grunt.

If it isn't obvious, I find hood corruption to be quite fascinating. Funnily enough, I'm in the middle of corrupting an original Maxis Strangetown and a custom hood created for that very purpose.

I'm rambling now, but this series is a very interesting idea and I hope to see more in the future 😊

Tip: You don't have to type 'boolprop testingcheatsenabled true' into the cheat console every time you open a new household, just once per play session. If you load your game and you've already activated debug mode, you don't have to do it again unless you quit the game.

The whole "intentional" corruption could be complete instantly by playing an unmodded Strangetown!
This games a minefield when it comes to corruption, and I love the glitchy mess of a game regardless.

I'm very interested in the effects corruption has on the game, especially the more subtle ones, but I'm way too scared to corrupt my own game. I only started playing Sims 2 a couple of months ago so I'd say I'm not educated enough yet to try it without accidentally ruining my entire game.

3:50 and 5:37... it isn't signs of corruption, that's for sure. But if you change Lyla's appearance using a mirror, her face will be very glitchy, and that would be a sign of corruption.

My game is permanently corrupted because my little sister decided to was going to take the scenic route through the games files, but its still fun to play.
