A number of examples such as 9 x 60 are demonstrated; such questions are easily solved by breaking them into two steps i) 9x6 (known to be 54 from knowledge of multiplication tables), and ii) 54 x 10 (solved by appending a zero to the end as with any multiplication by ten.
