This morning I turned on this computer and started looking at guitar stuff, found you showing your collection, got interested in the story regarding the guitar that you Mother bought for you when you were starting out, went to the video where you found that guitar after having sold it 20+ years ago and was touched by the fact that you were fortunate to get it back.... That was an amazing story and I have to admit, it choked me up a little. I've had to retire early and am bound and determined to learn to play guitar (began that attempt back in my 20s, but LE took to much of my time and energy) now that I'm 62, I figure if I find the right kind of people on here, like you and a few others that I have already got in "bag of tricks", I might just it it done. You are a down to earth kind of guy and I like your style! I look forward to your return Ken and as far as figuring out computers? If it weren't for MY Son, I would have a mess on my hands and a computer riddled with bullet holes! ;)

That's the same software I am using. As you can probably tell I only use a small portion of what it can do. I hope you get up and running soon brotherman

I hope learning the software goes smoothly as the seas you had on your ferry ride.

Look forward to seeing you on your return, Ken. Behave yourself.

Don't know what I'm going to do for my own. Must make a decision about that soon.

Good luck on the new software. I look forward to your vids. I understand somewhat how you feel. I started a new career last year and my fossilized brain is slowly absorbing the new info but it seems to take a while.

I think as we get older the things we knew before when we were young are easier but when it's something new we suckered badly.

That's supposed to be very good software so once you get it down things will be back to normal. Watch YouTube for tutorials it will help a lot.

Just get enough input souces...a little article here, a video tutorial there and you get a hang of it.
Save it all, write a short summary for yourself to look up stuff that you only need once in a while.
You need one of those hairy microphone caps when it's windy.
Nice to let us in on a bit of your little trip.
I enjoy watching your stuff, it's calm. I can relax and take it in after i had to deal with other shit.
And while it's calm, your voice isn't boring...it's not a flatline.
I think it's a good idea. You can come back strong, maybe even find time to put in some quirk that you always wanted in your video. You can also think about in what order you want to put up those now raw videos and where to cut it in parts.
Whenever you finished an instrument, even if it is just 30 seconds...do a little demo through the same setup that is shown in the discription or now you put it in video your new video editing software.
I don't know the software myself, but if you do a lot of this and want to save time, check out those editing keyboards. Maybe you can find a cheap one. But I'd consider this only if you put in some time and you got a hang of the software.
There are alway shortcuts you can record so you have 3-4 steps by pressing two keys.

I have had two versions of Sony Vegas. It's an excellent program but not an easy software to use. Not user friendly at all. I changed to Adobe Audition but just recently started learning a free software called using Hitfilm that is a stripped down Vegas.

THREE WEEKS? 3?? That's worse than Bill Maher. LOL. C'mon Ken we can't wait that long summer will be over. How 'bout at least a 2 minute weekly update on the learning curve?
