Chapter 4: Creation | 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith

Chapter 4 of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith explains the doctrine of creation. It states that God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit created the world and all things in it within six days, making everything very good. Humanity was created last, male and female, with rational and immortal souls, in the image of God, possessing knowledge, righteousness, and holiness. They had God's law written in their hearts and the ability to obey it, but also the ability to transgress it. They were given a specific command regarding the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
