I remember commissioning some large drives on a project in Guangzhou China during the wet season.
It was so humid, there was water running down power section circuit boards.
Guessing that if these detectors are used in the tropics before putting in an air conditioned car, you could get condensation.
Guessing Minelab don't apply any tropic proofing other than basic conformal coating.

Water entry there seems strange? Qld machine condensing at night after a hot humid day? Surely not submerged?
