I often wonder if this constant emotional WEIGHT will go away once the Narcissist dies. And does that feel better than just cutting them out of life? The Narcissists in my Life caused me a LOT of losses and grief before I finally decided to cut them out of my Life. I am still struggling to recover the material losses they have caused me but I do feel GREAT not feeling any kind of obligation to them. It's a wonderful feeling. Totally worth its weight in Gold.

I was with mine for 10 years, 2 years of on and off again. And 11 months of no contact, but it’s still so hard. Especially this time of year.
Now my anxiety is centred around him happy with some else, that I was so easy to walk away from.

This is beyond frustrating and I feel like I’m in my own personal hell that will never go away.

And if yoi have smlal children with them the family court system enables them to continue the abuse and retraumatises you. How do you heal when the system is not set up to support or even acknowledge your experiences? It's draining
