I always say the most important part of a game is the feeling you get when you remember it, and when it comes to Divinity 2 there isn't any other game I've played that compares. I just wish more people will experience this feeling like I did.

BG3's music is really good but it mostly lives in the background imho. Maybe I just haven't spent enough time playing for them to really grow on me, maybe it's because I have a strong sentimental attachment to Divinity. But this game has so many memorable tracks, straight-up one of the best game soundtracks I can think of. Borislav is an absolute god.

I started a game with a friend of mine, made a mock character thinking eh da hell, this is goin to be a one shot run. Several hours later, my necromancer had ripped thousands of faces and toss them on a square in act 2, made rain blood and everything was perfect, while people pretend to haven't seen anything, living their bucolic fantasy lives, listening to this gorgeous gorgeous soundtrack.

Baldur's gate 3 is what i played first. it was confusing at first but after learning it's style and beating, i went back to dov2 and it was so much easier to understand

I like BG3 because it brought more people to a real Larian gem which is Divinity: Original Sin 2

It has such a solemn feel to it.

It feels like the entire story is much more of a personal journey for you to complete rather than a grand quest, despite you becoming the Godwoken, and subsequently the Divine in some endings.

A path of self-discovery, in a way.
