Thank you for a clear definition. Didn't know the meaning, but due to Bruce Willis condition I looked up for the meaning 🤗

What helps me is reading books out loud in a quiet space area . And sometimes writing down short story’s with a dictionary in place to help .

Just found out today that Bruce Willis has Aphasia, of all people for this disease to inflict, that dude's totally COOL, wishing him the best of luck in dealing with this.

had to research this because of Bruce Willis. I've never heard of aphasia before.

I actually only started watching this video because I suspected I had aphasia recently because I had trouble reading and typing out words(I keep typing a different word instead of the one I want). I also had a stroke when I was young. I thought watching this would help me understand the symptoms.

My sister has aphasia due to a recent brain tumor operation 6/3/22 and I had never heard of it until today 6/7/22 when my brother in-law told me what she had and now I'm researching what it is.

Ha this is where I’m at on my journey with relapsing and remitting Multiple Sclerosis. When I think about it I realise that this disease has been with me for almost 30 years, so there are still some positives to be had out of all the decline in communicating reduces my world even more than it ever was. One of the reasons that I don’t go out, rather that I stay at home all of the time. No fear in that direction as I have a husband who is too far into tv where I can’t get a foothold. That goes, also for the third resident, for my son Zac, who is very fond of his time alone, as am I, to share with the Oldies. Anyhow my friends (and non friends, ex friends? Anyone who’s slightly interested in can cover most subjects quite well, due to my natural curiosity and extensive use of the internet. Anyhow, I digress and as usual have to go do some stuff, y’no thouseworm, housewort, housework, grrrr!
I hope you had a giggle at my post, all done in the facetious manner and nothing destructive in it’s design, have a laugh at it without guilty feelings. I’m not fussed between being laughed at or laughed with, point is; laughter is goood for the soul, laugh long and loud from the belly. xxx Peace

This is what my dad got along with Alzheimer’s disease. He didn’t know what was going on.

I thought Bruce lost his mind but it's just his communication skills.

Aphasia is worst than that. My mother was diagnosed with aphasia and started having these symptoms. 8 years later she can't walk and she uses wheelchair. She is having epileptic seizures, symptoms of paranoia, anxiety, anger and we keep her calm with strong medication. Nobody told us that this illness would worsen so much.
